Tale of a Princess

Sawsan Badr In 1980 a British television station produced (I can't remember it's name in fact) a shocking deco-drama movie about the Saudi princess Mishaal Bint Fahd , who was killed by the royal family in age 19 because she loved someone who wasn not approved by her family.. ! This movie made alot of circles in the lake, nobody has talked about it in the inside of Saudi Arabia before, an American television bought the film and re-showed it to the American public..  Saudi's authoritys made alot of pressure on the USA administration and the saudi embassy was closed in London and Washington DC, Saudi Arabia used the Saudi investments as a pressing card,  So the movie has been banned and didn't see the light for about 25 years until the late couple of years, it was released again.. because of the situation in the bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and the United States under Obama adminstraition. USA and Britain preferr...

" Everyone’s worried about stopping terrorism. Well, there’s really an easy way: Stop participating in it." Noam Chomsky. After one month there ,i was living in a small apartment in Mecca, just next to Kaaba (the most holy place in Islam),  There were alot of rife news and rumors about a group of opponents of the system was arrested by the saudi authoritys ..  I was scared, as I was still writing in my arabic blog against alot of middle eastern dictatorships including (of course) the Saudi's regime, with Raif Badawi's story in the back scene, it was a nightmare..  So I was scared and interested to know more about the subject, i was asking carefully without raises doubts because it is a taboo to discuss this matters with Saudi people.  actually, people there don't talk about anything, just food, cars, and women, you will be so shocked with the cultural level of the public..  Okay.. Here is the story.. Fifty-nine persons were...

In the Land of Sands

What do you think about North Korea?  If you are not a zombie, if you are a normal human being who appreciate human rights and freedom of speech, and refuses all kinds of racism and violence, you will think that North Korea is the worst place on earth to live in,  But wait a minute..  Have you ever been in Saudi Arabia?, I don't think so, Saudi Arabia is the hell on earth, it's the kingdom of evil, darkness, and blood,  To be honest, I didn't visit the land of comrade Kim Jong Un before , but I spent one year in the land of Saud's family. One year of fear and pretending , 365 days of paranoia, suspicions , caution and anxiety, 365 of sleepless nights and nightmares .  do you think I'm a little prejudiced?. I know you do buddy, but let me tell you a very short story first, As I said,a few years ago, I received a job offer (did I mention that I'm a construction Civil engineer?)  in the Land of Sands, so I traveled from Egypt ...

The tale of Bin.

Who (the hell) is  Bin?? : Okay.. I admit it, you have the right to ask a few questions before you decide whether to go with me in this journey to the Zombieland or not.. Firstly, who's Bin? Okay, but you have to know that you will never have a deep knowledge about me unless you finish this journey with me. But to take a quick look, Bin is a depressed Egyptian young man who lives in the heart of the Middle East. A rebellious man who has troubles with the system, religion, state and zombies occupying his homeland. A young man who can't ensure his life, security and his freedom, Be patient, you will know why very soon.. This is not my first blog, but this is my first one in English, I have had two blogs in Arabic before, one of them was closed by Anonymous authority ( you will find alot of things done by anonymous in your journey, but it's okay, you will get used to it !) The other blog was quite dull, because I didn't write everything  I wanted to write,...
